Antique 1930s tap pants

Antique 1930s tap pants in a silky rayon fabric in a deep purpley blue color (not as bright as the photos suggest). Have some discoloration (sun damage) on the back. The button has been replaced with two hooks, and there’s an open slit at the side hip – could be closed with buttons or a zipper. An amazing piece of history, they’re nearly 100 years old!
